Great week!

Hey Everyone!
Things here have been really great. Sister O and I got six new investigators! One of them is from Japan. Her name is Naoko.
Naoko came to Temple Square because her husband was at a conference in Salt Lake. She looked a little lonely so Sister R, from Australia (my district leader...we were on exchange) and I went to speak with her. Naoko does not speak English very well so she was not quite comfortable speaking with us at first. Then we explained that we were not good at Japanese and I spoke the little that I know to her (an introduction, greeting and stating that I was happy, but for the latter one I needed her help, haha). She warmed up really fast after that and told us that she had never been to Temple Square so she did not know where to go. We decided to give Naoko a private tour. It was amazing! Sister r and I both have never seen any investigator so ready to hear about the gospel before, and Sister R has been out for a while!
We were not even really talking about any doctrines of the church yet, we just started talking about the history of the Tabernacle and she began to cry from the Spirit! She was laughing and crying at the same time and telling us in broken English that she did not understand why she was feeling that way, but she just felt a great peace in the building. We explaiined to Naoko that she was feeling the Holy Spirit and that it was God telling her that He loved her. Her expressions and joy as we explained to her who Jesus Christ is was so cute! She would make a little humming noise at the back of her throat whenever we said something that would excite her, which wwas nearly every 3 minutes or so :). When we told her that God has always been around, and will always be around she was completely amazed! We took Naoko to the statue of Christ and she listened to the little presentation in Japanese. Afterward, she turned to us with sparkling eyes and asked, "Jesus Christ understands Japanese?" We were able to tell Naoko that Christ understands all of the languages and that it does not matter where you live in the world, he will always look out for you if you are trying your best to be good and follow him. Naoko was so happy! We told her more about the God Head and how they are separate beings. After, we gave her a Book of Mormon (in Japanese) and she promised us with much excitement t hat she would begin reading it when she was on the plane. She thanked us and gave us her address and email so that we could stay in contact with her and continue to teach her more about the gospel. It was really exciting when I looked up her address and found out that she lives around three church buildings that are only about a 12 min drive away! We have emailed her once since to wish her luck on her way back home. She replied still as excited as ever and she should have landed back home today :).

People are so wonderful, and even though not all of them are ready or willing to learn about the Gospel and some are even anti that I have come across, I know that God loves them just as much as He loves the people who are ready and are following His commandments. I have also met many people from different religions who come here. It is very interesting to hear about their beliefs and to be able to help them to understand a little bit about ours. I think of Temple Square now as a place that is outside of  America because although many people who are at Temple Square are American, on most of the days so far, the majority of the people are from different countries. Many of those people are also not LDS. I though that when I would be going to Temple Square there would not be really very many people to teach, but in reality, about 60% or more are not LDS (on an average busyish day), and so there are many to teach. :)
My companion is amazing. She wanted me to talk about her :) Sister O is an inspiration to us all and is always on time for personal study even though she has more hair than the rest of the girls in our apartment (well, except for Sister B who has very long curly blonde hair). She is very wise in the ways of finding EFY music and knows right where the best restaurants are (but we have only gone to one so far). Sister ) is slightly allergic to cold, or believes she is, because she wears a jacket every morning when it's like 17C outside (but she is from California). Oh and when we see a bug in the house, she won't squish it, but she will get on her knees and pray that it will die quickly and that it won't make babies...yep, I love my companion!
Thanksgiving sounded awesome! I really wish that i could have been there but I bought a peach pie to celebrate with my companion so I am still doing Thanksgiving :)
I hope everyone is doing well and I am so happy every time that I hear from you all! Thanks so much for the letters and emails!
Love you all! XOXOX
